April EOTEC Regional Drought Meet-ups: key insights now available

The April 2026 EOTEC DevNet Regional Drought Working Group meet-ups brought together experts and practitioners from across Africa, the Americas, Asia–Oceania, and Europe to exchange on drought monitoring, early warning, Earth Observation applications, and capacity development needs.

Key discussions highlighted the growing importance of operational drought early warning systems, flash drought monitoring, integration of EO and in-situ data, and improving access to tools and training resources.

The sessions brought together experts from Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Oceania to exchange tools, experiences, and ideas for improving drought monitoring and resilience through Earth observation.
